I had been looking for straightforward tips on writing Alt text, so glad to see this.
For those who struggle to get started and feel overwhelmed, Veronica Lewis has a great methodology for how to write alt text. This methodology has been referred to as "the Capybara Method."

Taught a wonderfully engaged group of students about #OccupationalTherapy in prisons at YorkStJohn today. I often think about the impact that Octavia Hill had on the young Elizabeth Casson when she worked as a housing manager for Octavia on one of her London Housing projects. It truly was formative!

This beautiful little acer in my garden has its autumn coat on. Pale limey green in the spring and summer these russet colours are just lovely especially in the morning sun.
