The city needs to do better because this is just going to get worse with the discriminatory changes being made to federal procurement. 7% to BIPOC- and women-owned is absurd, most contracting goals are larger than that so either the city is behind the curve or it’s too lax with exemptions…

The downside to a weekly publication is that once a story is submitted— in this case, two days before Election Day— it won’t go live until the following Thursday.
It’s too late now. Mpls voted to re-elect him- but this is another example of Frey dodging accountability.
