Finished this today after mentally putting it on a list to get around to after listening to the SF Ultra episode on it, just an incredible book that that podcast episode both does a wonderful job of talking about but leaves so many great things for you to experience upon reading the book.

I need everyone to know that on the crochet subreddit the mods made a big post about how they're taking a week off because there was too much fighting/political posts. so there's currently no mods on r/crochet and people are being absolutely insane

There is a deep nostalgia in me for hitting a Spinfusor shot a mile away, no video game weapon has ever felt as good.
We gotta go back.

I am curious about the Major in the new GiTS but Batou is the one who I feel is the most completely different character from the comic to both movies and tv so I wonder if we just see that version of the character put backwards into the comic scenarios or if they just use comic Batou

The stuff I remember most fondly is the Kirby stuff and the Gerber like narration of that one chapter.

Yeah I think about rereading this one from time to time but unsure if it tracks at all with how I have changed in that many years

But then at the end due to the nature of the fight the Godzilla style minature town they have been standing on and rolled into at the beggining of the fight just can't take anymore and collaspes dropping them both into the river.

Perfect.

Mikiya Mochizuki one of the greats.

We cut away and cut back to these just incredible pages of this wrestling match happening at full scale
January 28, 2026 at 7:13 PM
Its huge and mythic and really underscores the all the people that have fallen to protect the main character the lengths being gone to.

From there they just start putting each others heads through every skyscraper you can find, in a mode in which this book is always full of the best action you can find but doing something on this scale was not something you ever would expect to happen.
January 28, 2026 at 7:10 PM
The book then cuts away back to everyone else doing normal sized things, and then you turn the page and the one guy is jumping over skyscrapers and starts choking the other guy with an overpass
January 28, 2026 at 7:09 PM
Eventually the the main characters friend shows up who was als uninvolved in the previous volume and the two bruisers face down, and right before the fight begins he grows to be taller than the building.
January 28, 2026 at 7:07 PM
This guy was not involved in the previous volumes fight but a lot of his friends were so he is on a mission for revenge tearing through everyone trying to keep moving their friend a bit further away before getting destroyed.

Not had a good day so going to post about one of my favorite bits of action comics to lift the mood

This is from Wild 7 vol 25, the basics you need to know is the main character of the book was heavily injured in the last volume and is on the mend
