Binged all 8 eps of Wonder Man with @binkx.bsky.social and @essfive.bsky.social after dinner last night and DANG it was good! That's why we marathoned it!! I was looking forward to this because I adore Yahya Abdul-Mateen, even though I have big MCU fatigue. It's a lovely departure from the usual.

-REMEMBER TO DRIP YOUR FAUCETS SO YOUR PIPES DON'T FREEZE & BURST! Keep the cupboards under them open too so heat can circulate & keep them warm!
-If you don't have curtains (like on a sliding glass door), hang a blanket over it with some thumbtacks. It'll help keep the cold out.

Things I learned in the '21 TX freeze:
- looser clothing keeps you warmer (sweatpants > yoga pants)
- put a sheet OVER your comforter on your bed
- drape a sheet around drafty doors, roll a towel on thresholds
- keep curtains and blinds closed

This is, in my opinion, not only the correct moral/ethical/legal position but also the correct political framing. Everyone can see the agency is out of control; everyone can see that it is constantly violating human rights. "Scrap it and start over" is the moderate position.
Mamdani: "I am in support of abolishing ICE. What we see is an entity that has no interest in fulfilling its stated reason to exist. We're seeing a government agency that is supposed to be enforcing some kind of immigration law, but instead what it's doing is terrorizing people."
