I'm currently working through the Trek-Lit Reading Flowchart (which is below). I haven't figured out how to mark (on the image) the novels I've read.

Suffice it to say, I've read 95 novels on this flowchart.

3.75 Stars #StarWars #Legends #X-Wing series 05 Wraith Squadron by Aaron Allston

It took me a bit to get used to the new author in this series. It was a complex & intricate story, but I knew that not all our heroes were going to survive.

3.75 Stars #Ancient'sBlood 01 The Awakening Fire by Cassidy Faline

This was the first #Indie / #SelfPub books I read for the year. Yay! We have to support these writers.

This is a brutal world. Reminds me a bit of #SongofIce&Fire.

The people who get VERY UPSET when we call them Nazis sure are acting like Nazis.
A video of ICE agents conducting door-to-door searches today in Minneapolis

The homeowner requests a warrant repeatedly, is told they don't require one, then is told they're getting it, then the agents storm in anyway

They also point a taser at her to try and disrupt filming

Men created AI-generated images of this woman and used them to create an OnlyFans account so they can make money off abusing her. They can do this to any of us, and no one’s doing enough to stop them.

I feel like I’m screaming into the void.

The goalpost moving is going as follows as more evidence comes out:

He shot in self defense
He had PTSD
Something's not right with the new footage from his cell phone, must be AI

Don't buy any of it.

3.25 Stars #RiversofLondon 5.8 King of the Rats [short story from Tales of the Folly] by Ben Aaronovitch

It was okay. Not sure if I've missed something, but it just felt out of left field. I guess the author is allowed this boon, but I was left underwhelmed.

For the start of 2026, I thought I'd shake things up. Unlike last year, I decided to throw everything (for the most part) out & start fresh.

Since I'm a #MoodReader of the Nth degree), I call it my MBR (May Be Read) pile of books I've wanted to read & now I'm going to.

Wish me luck with this.
