So true. I left Twitter when @kelseyhightower.com left. I’m a minimal social media user, but there was a definite “well if he can do it I can too”. Good examples matter.
after a mass exodus from ex-Twitter, the only reason the platform hasn't died yet is because some people continue to give it credibility it no longer deserves
without those people X would be the same as Truth Social
Notable accounts clinging to their following is part of the problem. When respected voices leave, it weakens the platform’s draw. Staying only props it up.
Leaving is a moral stance and I wish more people would act on theirs.

I have a group chat with friends who constantly post links to Twitter. Still. In 2025, with Elon Musk acting as the head of the shadow executive branch. My friends use and support his website. It drives me insane.

Weird experience… engaged Verizon’s chat bot through their app. Chat bot was useless. Asked for live person, got one within ten minutes. New person solved the problem (99% sure, but not 100%) but said some *wacky* things that definitely made me think I was talking to a chat bot still.

I voted! Once again super happy with Colorado’s vote by mail system. Had my ballot for a few days, took the time to research propositions and measures I was unsure about, filled in my ballot. Then I walked four blocks to a 24-hour drop box. Amazing.
