Spent several days in DC - from the protest 100K strong - to walking 20+ miles visiting 7 museums and numerous monuments. Ran across a pro-Ukraine event too. A lovely few days that reminded me that I love my country despite the current administration. We must continue to fight.

Texas has introduced the FURRIES Act - Forbidding Unlawful Reproduction of Roleplaying in Education.

Greg Abbott said furries are “prolific” in Texas.
This is a lie.

Greg Abbott said students are using litter boxes.
This is a lie.

The truth is that he is lying to push his voucher scheme.

More of this courage, please.
Elon Musk’s staffers visited the U.S. Institute of Peace, accompanied by two FBI agents. They were met at the door by a lawyer who informed them that the institute holds “private and independent status as a non-executive branch agency.” Following this, the staffers left.

NEW SCOOP: Some staffers at Elon Musk’s so-called Department of Government Efficiency are drawing robust taxpayer-funded salaries from the federal agencies they are slashing and burning, WIRED has learned.

Some DOGE Staffers Are Drawing Six-Figure Government Salaries
Engineers and executives at the so-called Department of Government Efficiency are drawing healthy taxpayer-funded salaries—sometimes from the very agencies they are cutting.

Not only have I never been more ashamed of my country than I am today, I've never been more ashamed of and disgusted by the White House Press Corp. Not a single one of them had the guts and principles to stand up to him about defending Putin and blaming Ukraine for the war. They are pathetic.

More incompetence from president musk.
Pro-life party, my ass. 😡
Make a huge mistake. Then make a false claim about how you fixed it.

They did it for PEPFAR.

Now Ebola.

I follow this particular topic VERY closely, so here's what really happened and why this isn't true AT ALL...🧵
Elon Musk: "We will make mistakes. We won't be perfect ... so for example, with USAID, one of the things we accidentally canceled very briefly was ebola prevention."

The Trump administration is a death panel.

Remember those? Republicans used to be very concerned about them. Not so much anymore, apparently.
Rubio terminated 5800 USAID contracts – more than 90% of its foreign aid programs – in defiance of the courts.

Here’s a list of just some of the lifesaving awards that were terminated. Nearly all were Congressionally mandated. They’ve saved millions of lives. 🧵
