"misperceiving"? 🤔
Trump on affordability: It’s a con job. Costs are way down.

Ingraham: So you are saying voters are misperceiving how they feel?

You know I was never a fan of Newsom. But I love this guy now. LOVE HIM.
Tapper: You sell trump kneepads—

Newsom: Signature series. Sold out at the moment. Because people have sold out and because universities have been selling out, because law firms have been selling out, because corporate leaders have been selling out, people are selling out this country.

@saletan.bsky.social had some good points about how Democrats caring about people is not a weakness and Republicans are kamikazes who will kill everyone. I don't know. You judge. Also throwing in a few interesting screen captures from @jvl.bsky.social

Hey people, if this is your Senator I think he deserves a phone call from his actual constituents.
Sen. Kaine on his vote for funding deal

“I got the first good night's sleep last night that I've gotten since Oct. 1, because I wasn't worried about being able to look Capitol Police in the eye when I walked in, or what a furloughed federal worker would say to me at church”

🚨 The shutdown isn’t over. The Senate vote was a procedural step, not a deal. Nothing is reopening. Nothing is fixed. Eight Democrats helped move an old GOP bill while families go unpaid and SNAP stays frozen.

Flood the lines. Call your Senators.

I left a very "stern" (lol) message on Chuck Schumer's voicemail. I warned him that if they vote to reopen the government right now that millions of us will be very angry. I said, that is a warning to the eight and to you all.

It's not over, folks. If you want Democrats to stand up for healthcare AND snap benefits, reach out to them and tell them what you need. Call the eight turncoats. Call your representative. Email them. Blast them on social media.

We still have time to get through to them.
Is the shutdown over? Not yet.
Tonight’s vote was only step 1 of 5.
There’s still another 60-vote hurdle, amendments, AND then the House.
Pressure matters right now—especially on Kaine, Rosen, Hassan, Shaheen.
Stay loud.

This is a bad deal, and the old way of doing things is clearly not working.

We need new leaders in the Senate.

Shame on them? Hasn't it been established already that they have no shame? 🤡
Agree.

Sen Hassan, asked what will happen if Republicans don't carry out the deal, "Well, shame on them."

This is not what people were mobilizing for on Oct 18.

These 8 Senators sold us out to Trump:
Hassan
King
Cortez-Masto
Shaheen
Kaine
Fetterman
Durbin
Rosen

Understand This Fact: Chuck Schumer is behind this. None of these 8 are up for reelection in 2026. Schumer asked them vote yes—they agreed. He's such a coward that he folded and won't even own it.

The original Dem demands were:
1) Permanent ACA subsidies
2) Medicaid funding restored
3) No more blank checks for the regime (rescission)

They dropped Medicaid immediately. Went silent on rescission. Cut back to 1 year of subsidies on Friday. And surrendered today.

I am reminded of Jon Stewart's words on his podcast this week when he asked Chris Hayes and David Plouffe....
"Democrats had a big winning night on Tuesday. How will they squander it?"
Everyone laughed. Except me.
