Something pinged my very specific #themepark brain today. Apparently a guy in Oklahoma is suing some folks who were trying to build a park there: people.com/91-year-old-...

Thing is, one of the men involved, Richard Silanskas, has been running this exact scam for at least a decade.

O. Gene Bicknell is suing the leaders of American Heartland Theme Park, alleging he was deceived when investing $60 million in the Oklahoma attraction. Attorneys claim the defendants impersonated "God...

NASA hired Stanley Kubrick to film the Moon landing. But Kubrick was a perfectionist and decided to film on location on the Moon. It was tremendously expensive.

This reminds me of the story about Emperor Norton praying in front of an anti-Chinese mob in San Francisco and how that dispersed them. Worked once. Unsure if it’ll work again.
Michael Pham fled Vietnam at the age of 13. He was named bishop of San Diego a month ago.

Today, he stood watch at a courthouse: ICE agents were “standing there covered with masks as we walked toward the courtroom. Eventually the agents scattered and went away”

Amazing job, everyone.

The moment I found out, I blocked him. So I'm doing my part.

Some personal news: the Department of Homeland Security has given me, an immigration lawyer born in Newton, Massachusetts, seven days to leave the U.S. Does anyone know if you can get Italian citizenship through great-grandparents?

Brilliant and cursed
I got Linux running in a PDF file using a RISC-V emulator.

PDFs support Javascript, so Emscripten is used to compile the TinyEMU emulator to asm.js, which runs in the PDF. It boots in about 30 seconds and emulates a riscv32 buildroot system.

I can’t recommend Linux from Scratch for most people except if you:

1. Are curious as to what it takes.
2. Are wary about depending on companies.
3. Want to create your own version of Linux for specific needs.

If you fall into one of these, be ready for a VERY tedious process.

It's a defense of dressing like shit and not giving a crap.

Just wear whatever and mind your own business. Who cares?
