The very first episode of our very first TV soap Tolka Row aired on RTE #otd in 1964. It ran for five series.
It was based on the play written by Maura Laverty, a woman who had many strings to her bow: screenwriter, editor, novelist, and cookery expert.

Born #Onthisday 1894 Monica Wichfeld who was raised in #Fermanagh. Later she was a leading member of the Danish resistance during t#WW2 & was the 1st woman in Denmark to receive a capital sentence for resistance against the Nazis -she died in Waldheim Prison in 1945

My wee mum died a month ago. I still can’t believe it. Part of me never will.

Today, I’ve got to return to work (self-employed).

We have laws granting paid leave for birth - rightly so. We should also, I think, offer similar support for people living with loss.

Grief Leave.
