I can't overstate how Bluesky is a breath of fresh air compared to Facebook or Twitter. A lot less toxic, bitter and negative political debates and comments.

Good news on transport for Penryn residents: the Class 125
/Castle class trains will be replaced by 26x Class 175 from upcountry (pictured). This will help with modernising our local train fleet. Unfortunately, still no news of the UK-wide project to replace 150s that are running on our branch line

Appalling. I agree that SuperVoyagers are now due for replacement or complete refurbishment. They are unfit for radail operations, let alone long distance trips.
Ah yes, now I remember why I don’t go up north very often.

The crosscountry train from Durham to Cornwall takes 9 hours at the best of times, and today it’s over an hour late… the toilet door is broken… and the rainwater is literally coming in from the ceiling and dripping onto my seat.

👍👍👍

Is it surprising that Mamdani won with a campaign on freezing the rents and solving the housing crisis? The housing crisis is the key issue in most of the western world, particularly for the younger generations and working class.

It's time to update the Local Plan! Thanks to all who attended the consultation today at @artcentrepenryn I made sure to register my priorities and concerns: we need to stop the concreting over of Cornwall, prioritise social housing, esp for the younger generation which faces a financial cliff.

Attending the @mebyonkernow.bsky.social conference today and working with the young Cornish activists of Kernow Rydh. Good to see so many young people standing up for Cornwall this year!We need ambitious radical political decisions to sort out Kernow for the many. #MK2025

Very chuffed to have both my motions voted unanimously: overhauling the sewage system & campaigning a Sovereign mineral fund fot Cornwall. We need ambitious radical political decisions to sort out Kernow for the many. I will also support a coming motion titled "The Planning System is broken" #MK2025

Transport is not just a job but a passion for me. Yesterday I was happy to put this to the service of the community, at the Falmouth & Penryn Community Area Partnership meeting to reshape our transport strategy with fellow councillors.

Reform and the Tories voted AGAINST:

❌ Banning no fault evictions

Just back from visiting St Ives. A pleasant visit but was very sad to see rows & rows of empty holiday homes. These should be homes for locals.
English laws are not suitable for Cornwall. We need a Cornish Assembly to enact restrictions on 2nd homes & holiday lets, + mass invest in social housing
