I also call residents to send us any ideas for small infrastructure improvements as we are discussing budget at this time of the year and how to spend CIL funds. I am currently pushing for secure bike storage, pavement parking enforct and maintenance for pedestrian paths.

Good news on transport for Penryn residents: the Class 125
/Castle class trains will be replaced by 26x Class 175 from upcountry (pictured). This will help with modernising our local train fleet. Unfortunately, still no news of the UK-wide project to replace 150s that are running on our branch line

Is it surprising that Mamdani won with a campaign on freezing the rents and solving the housing crisis? The housing crisis is the key issue in most of the western world, particularly for the younger generations and working class.

Attending the @mebyonkernow.bsky.social conference today and working with the young Cornish activists of Kernow Rydh. Good to see so many young people standing up for Cornwall this year!We need ambitious radical political decisions to sort out Kernow for the many. #MK2025

Very chuffed to have both my motions voted unanimously: overhauling the sewage system & campaigning a Sovereign mineral fund fot Cornwall. We need ambitious radical political decisions to sort out Kernow for the many. I will also support a coming motion titled "The Planning System is broken" #MK2025

Transport is not just a job but a passion for me. Yesterday I was happy to put this to the service of the community, at the Falmouth & Penryn Community Area Partnership meeting to reshape our transport strategy with fellow councillors.

Just back from visiting St Ives. A pleasant visit but was very sad to see rows & rows of empty holiday homes. These should be homes for locals.
English laws are not suitable for Cornwall. We need a Cornish Assembly to enact restrictions on 2nd homes & holiday lets, + mass invest in social housing

CC employees and councillors already knew that it was unreachable back in 2019. It remains unreachable given the current commitments. The scale of the sacrifices is not acceptable by the current generation of councillors. Step up. The younger generations don't deserve to pay for past selfishness.

Keslowena! Congratulations to KLOTH for their awards & for serving our community. The Kernow Library of Things has helped Penryn residents to get access to tools & reduce overconsumption. No need to purchase something you are going to use once, the community can lend it to you!

Let's make tourism more sustainable in Cornwall. Local residents deserve a decent place to live. We need to deprioritise holiday lets and second home, build more social housing. Every generation deserves a fair deal with housing!

Delighted to have been reelected to the Falmouth and Truro MK branch bureau for this relaunch.
A long but interesting town council followed this yesterday, which showed us that the fiscal and planning systems are broken and cannot help local families to find a home but serve developers greed.
