Wouldn't it be cool to combine Notion or similar tools-for-thought with a social network layer?

If nobody is gonna build the bsky are.na clone, I think I'm gonna have to...

Probs use W3C's web annotations as the starting point for the lexicon, and the long term vision is something approaching subconscious (RIP 🪦)

Anybody building this?

Anyone know if Daylight computers @daylightco.bsky.social can be used to handwrite notes, detect text, then export to markdown?

What people don’t appreciate about being “jack of all trades, master of none”, is that although its hard to become the best at one thing, it’s really easy to become better than 95% of people. Jack is still a face card.

Which also highlights why “feeds” are the wrong abstraction. Good search results depend on indexing and ranking. Which is where curation and annotation + social graph come in. Feeds are one pattern that can be built on these primitives, but unlikely the most useful.

Finally got claude to figure out equalized height and proportional width for images in gallery rows, via some convoluted js solution. There must be a simpler way haha

One of the more surprising reasons Machiavelli argues in favor of republics over monarchies, is that the former better promote the common good.

I think this would be an amazing piece of commons infra - snapshotting URLs and grabbing open graph data, including a thumbnail.

Maybe somehow linked to @commoncrawl.bsky.social data too?

I know I want this for knowledge graph notes lexicon.
My dream, and I've been talking to @bmann.ca about this, is having full open graph data at the protocol level for URLs. That way you and I and everyone else aren't all trying to get the same basic metadata about all the URLs everyone is posting.

How do folks feel about this noise overlay texture? I think it softens an otherwise kinda stark aesthetic here, but maybe others think it is annoying?
