I used to be obsessed with the graffiti from the 1968 protests in France.

I've been thinking of the one that went, "You will die of comfort" a lot lately.

Is there a solarpunk version of RenFaire yet?

Every time I sit down to write songs lately, I end up daydreaming about a festival where you can wander around & immerse yourself in a non-dystopic future for a while. In costume, if you like.

It’s not a revolution, but every little bit helps.
The startup Solrite and sonnen will offer free batteries and solar to Texas homeowners.

Chicago has officially switched all its city buildings to 100% renewable energy! It takes about 700,000 megawatt hours of electricity each year to power the city’s 400+ municipal buildings, and this is now all coming from renewable sources.

Thanks @canarymedia.com for this amazing news!

And, of course, there's practically universal agreement that wealth will save you from climate catastrophe, by decoupling you from your planetary context.

That's certainly proving to be largely untrue in LA.

I don’t think most people understand that putting off major lifestyle changes to mitigate/adapt to climate change does is simply procrastination that will make their lives harder when they are forced to make that transition all at once later.
