Yes, they’re using the shutdown to turn off SNAP benefits.

No, they don’t have to.

This is exactly right: it's real violence, but a performance at the same time
You need to see this:

We are fostering this beautiful husky through a local rescue. Yesterday we learned a situation on his toe will require amputation. The rescue has launched a fundraiser to help offset the cost, and if you can find in your heart to support, it's appreciated. #RescueDogs givebutter.com/HelpKoda

JD Vance - If you believe any of the multiple federal courts that have ruled against you so far are exceeding their statutory or Constitutional authority, your recourse is to appeal. You don’t get to rage-quit the Republic just because you are losing. That’s tyranny.

My positive action: I have three ebooks currently checked out from my local library and three more on hold.

I intend to read every word of them.

Support your local libraries.

An illegal coup by an unelected billionaire is usurping YOUR power under the Constitution and you're staying SILENT? This is going to affect all your constituents (including YOUR OWN voters). It's time to put us first. #ReReadYourOath #CountryOverParty

Follow her lead. Seriously. If you're fired up, download the 5Calls app and get on the phones.
I don’t have any Democratic representation at all. So I am calling my Republican representatives and senators every damn day.

This is their fault. This is on them. If we all call, we can show them they don’t have a fking mandate. If you have Republican representation, call them. Incessantly.

A great resource for using your power as a citizen - Indivisible's "Take Action" page. It's got the issues, sample scripts, and provides contact info.

Calling and emailing WORKS, but only if enough constituents do it.

Hold on to truth...and hope.
Today’s show was my last at CNN. My closing message: It’s never a good time to bow down to a tyrant… don’t give in to the lies. Don’t give in to fear. Hold on to the truth… and hope.

The idea that the needs and concerns of men should be considered when it comes to MY personal healthcare, or the healthcare of any woman, is chauvinistic, controlling, and asinine.

You better believe I'll be ringing my Representative's phone off the hook and I hope y'all will do the same.
If anyone needs me, I’ll be listening to Rage Against the Machine all day today…

I've decided to try to do at least three positive, proactive actions a week in my community during 2025.

First activity this week: I got a new library card this morning and checked out some books. 📚
