Najar was born on a dirt floor in Honduras; a flood wiped out his village, a fire killed his cousins, he began working in sixth grade, and he arrived in the U.S. at 13, undocumented and alone to join family in D.C., where he was discovered playing after school.

It was really cool to see all the fireworks around us for like five minutes until the jackasses down the street from us decided to start firing their guns in the air nonstop for no reason. Guns are not fireworks. Those bullets do go somewhere.

I've never acted like I'm some high-class individual, and it's because of this that I don't feel any shame in having beer brats and a Mountain Dew for breakfast at 9 a.m. on a Tuesday.

I wish department stores would pay more than a modicum of lip service to overweight men. Every fat guy I know shops at the same chain, and even places that claim decent Big and Tall sections still drop the ball on something as simple as belts, rendering them kinda worthless.

It’s SO diminished, man.

It was finally chilly enough to break out my Chilean Everton beanie.

Today is the anniversary of the best photo I ever took when I worked for Lamar. I got to see a kid find out about Santa in real time in Beaumont, Texas.

We just shared an elevator with Noah Kahan after the Kacey Musgraves show. My wife is vey excited about this development.

Julie Andrews had Poppins - her FIRST movie role, drop in 64, and came right back with Sound of Music in 65. That's a helluva 1-2 punch.

We don't need more remakes of old movies. We need more MUPPETS remakes of old movies.

I’m once again being asked to care about Hunter Biden against my will.

Honestly, the most galling part of this is that let's take the IDF's assertion that the staff member is a terrorist at face value, which is being awfully generous to them; how does that justify intentionally killing four other charity workers?
World Central Kitchen announces it is halting operations in Gaza after Israel targeted one of its vehicles in an airstrike, reportedly killing three WCK staff and then two rescue workers.

The IDF claims—without providing evidence—that one of the WCK workers was a “terrorist.”

I know it's too much to ask conservatives to understand stats. Still, it's astounding to me that they've made a story out of someone with fewer than a thousand kills and a .233 career hitting percentage having some massive advantage for an otherwise unremarkable mid-major volleyball team.

I think Sean Dyche has done a commendable and laudatory job in guiding Everton through an impossible situation. He deserves to be remembered for the work he did. Honestly.

It’s time to move on.

When are we getting a full Marvel sellout for Jardiance of the Galaxy?
December 1, 2024 at 1:34 AM
Hey, it is what it is, Ohio State went for a touchdown instead of a kneel down in the win over Indiana last week. QB Will Howard mimed stomping out a cigarette. It borders on absurd to turn around and pearl clutch about Michigan talking shit exactly one week later.

Kopite behavior, that.

Everyone has been joking about “quality losses” this football season, but how many in that top 25 have actually made it this far without losing to a team they’re “supposed” to beat? Four or five, maybe?

And one of those teams is Indiana. *knock on wood*

We’re at a coffee shop in Brentwood and some dude just sent back his breakfast sandwich because the cheese wasn’t melted enough.

Paddington 2 seems like an appropriate night-before-Thanksgiving watch. I don’t know that I’ve adored many movie characters more than Hugh Grant’s Phoenix Buchanan.

I find it a little surprising that Nashville isn't on this list.
