Power cut day, replacing a pole up the street. No idea how long it will be off as it’s one of those big poles with stacks of wires. Never mind we have plugged the car into the house and we are all go.

Lovely to see our hydrangeas start to bloom, looks like it will be a glorious season of colour. My gorgeous wife went a picking today and this is what she found. 😍

I have a favourite breakfast spoon, doesn’t everyone?

My lovely wife washed it especially for tomorrow as the dishwasher wasn’t full enough to do a load today.

I get the impression she thinks I’m special 🥰
I think she is as well ❤️❤️❤️

Excellent read, there really are no financially easy answers.
If you missed it, a good weekend read: We spent generations strangling our rivers to make room for our homes and farms, only to find we've ended up supercharging their flows.

What do we do when we realise we've built a society in a riverbed?

We strangled our rivers; now they're fighting back
Special report: We forced NZ's braided rivers into tiny channels so we could build our homes and farms in their riverbeds – now we're seeing the consequences. Marc Daalder investigates.

Found this ball floating above our camp last night, still there in the morning, would have thought someone would have collected it, probably valuable.

EV is a month old the drop in running costs is significant.
My old car 1.7l economical about $120 to fill for approx 500km mixed driving.
Charged EV at home today $32 for the same range, add $38 RUC so $70, saving $40.
Free electricity day 😁saving total $72.
Figures are loose but I am impressed.

Thanks for your excellent reviews of the Kia EV3, loved the specs, it drove well but the colour range was boring especially for my lovely wife, so a wrap and it looks and goes well.

Funny how the US has basically the government of Iran now: Supreme Leader who rules by decree, priestly council with token opposition that decides whether the decisions are okay or not on arcane scriptural grounds, and completely ceremonial legislature
