Oh the difference in cultures, having grown up in a Danish household here in New Zealand, my parents struggled with keeping Kiwi friends, I didn’t have so much difficulty but have been told more than once that I tend to say what others only think.

Sounds like the thing is tidying up the mess but you might need a repack of the cloves. I had one that took 3 times.

Oh the dry socket, I remember them well, with dread. The clove packing made a huge difference.
