This term, the launch of our new primary #science curriculum includes developing pupils’ understanding of #solar energy. We learn how solar panels work, complete a drone inspection of the school panels & interrogate the data to work out how many appliances we have powered. #edusky

I took so many practical ideas, top tips and inspiration from yesterday’s #EdTech conference. Thank you to @lgfl-ngfl.bsky.social, as well as the pupils and teachers from each school who taught live lessons in the incredible XR lab. One day very well spent.

The teacher in me still loves designing spaces. Thank you to Mowmacre Hill for turning my vision for the library into reality this week. It’s the centre of the infant building and a pleasure to use.

Our office window used to have nicknacks, photos and souvenirs. Lately, our kittens have taken over and there’s something quite soothing about working with a sleeping kitten above my screen.

What an incredible evening exploring good practice in adaptive teaching. We explored the EEF 5-a-day principles then broke out into phase-specific workshops to focus on practical application. Collaboration at its best!

Wow! At the beginning of the year, someone suggested hosting a #TeachMeet and this week we have had to close bookings because we've reached room capacities. Looking forward to welcoming over a hundred colleagues from eight schools to share best practice on Thursday. #EduSky #primary #maths

I have a post-doc position to study the effect of AI on education.

How can we ensure that AI tools enhance natural intelligence?

The position is a part of the Estonian Centre of Excellence in Artificial Intelligence.

Please repost - not easy to get people to work in Estonia 🥶

Given that AI is just going to start regurgitating its own errors, I'd say that there's an urgent need to educate young people as much as possible about all things internet related, especially disinformation. #EduSky
