I made a commitment, required of me by NHS gender identity clinics, that I was to live full-time in my acquired gender for the rest of my life. I honour that commitment 100%, and refuse to comply with a court that has no expertise in trans healthcare and chose not to hear any experts.

This is massively important and - ASAP

We need admissions, declarations of intent, of 100% non-compliance to the Supreme Court decision and any subsequent State interpretations eg EHRC guidance, policies etc), intention to physically resist being strip-searched by wrong-sexed police officers, etc

My MP (Clive Betts, Labour, Sheffield South East) wrote to me on Friday to tell me he is preparing to write to the Minister for Women and Equalities.

I sent him this update on everything that’s happened since we spoke earlier this year.
Thank you for the update. I'm enormously grateful to Clive for raising this with the Equalities Minister. I'll be happy to give my feedback on the draft. Some new developments that have happened since we spoke, which you might want to include: - The Equalities Minister has confirmed the government's preferred candidate as chair of the Equality and Human Rights Commission, Dr Mary-Ann Stephenson, against the advice of both the parliamentary Joint Committee on Human Rights and the Women and Equalities Committee. To quote the committees in their letter: "Dr Stephenson did not persuade us that she will be able to rebuild trust in the organisation". It is my opinion that this is an entirely political appointment on the basis of Dr Stephenson's gender critical views. - The Equality and Human Rights Commission is planning to ignore up to half of the 50,000 submissions to its consultation on its proposed updates to its code of practice following the For Women Scotland judgement, according to documents leaked to Good Law Project. Worryingly, the leaks suggest that the commission is planning on using artificial intelligence to decide which submissions should be ignored. As a software engineer, I have often seen how AI systems are often used to avoid accountability, because an AI algorithm cannot be audited. The EHRC is rushing the response to the consultation to meet an artificial deadline. If it cannot show that it has considered all submissions it undermines the integrity of the consultation, and risks being challenged. - The new Relationships, Sex and Health Education (RHSE) guidance 2026 directs teachers to avoid teaching young people who may be questioning their gender about how they might be feeling. This is distressingly similar to Section 28, which forbade the "promotion of homosexuality" but meant that schools avoided teaching young people about homsexuality at all. The Labour government elected in 1997 waited until 2003 to repeal Section 28, and led to long-standing mistrust in the Labour Party amongst people of my generation. The fact that it is a Labour government introducing this guidance will be a similar stain on Labour's legacy. - The Lemkin Institute for Genocide Prevention has published a red flag alert to condemn the recent judicial and governmental developments in the UK for the harm it is causing to trans and intersex people. - A group of back bench MPs (including the MP for Sheffield Hallam,Olivia Blake) have published a letter to the EHRC chair about the many problems with the EHRC's consultation, its "Interim Update", and the draft code of practice. It includes a good list of questions about the code of practice and a good list of actions for the EHRC to take to restore trust in the commission. I urge you to take into account the developments I have listed above. This government is moving fast to undermine human rights in the UK, setting a chilling precedent for the future. I am ready to help with your draft letter in whatever way I can.
