The Roll of the 260 Eyam plague victims, Derbyshire from 1665-66 taken from Parish Registers & Bishops' Transcripts.
The plague was believed to have arrived in the late summer of 1665 when a travelling tailor, George Viccars arrived at the home of Mary Cooper with a box of cloth from London. /1

Today we received a C-File from the VA (ordered via our new BIRLS website, of course), for a deceased veteran who is NOT listed in the BIRLS database.

And, um, actor Kirk Douglas does not seem to have left the Navy for quite the reasons that his Wikipedia bio says he did. 😳
