Whoa, so does this mean Nadler is already dead?
“Representative Jerrold Nadler, a New York Democrat who has been one of Congress’s leading liberal voices for three decades, will not seek re-election next year, heeding a call for generational change roiling his party”

I, for one, would love to listen to an Absolute Units episode about gooseberries and gooseberry shows.

there are like three overlapping scandals with signalgate — illegal distribution of sensitive government materials by top members of the administration, illegal attempt to circumvent records laws and possible unlawful use of military force — and democrats should be screaming about them all

No one's blaming Democrats for causing this crisis, but yes, many of them are failing to meet this moment.

One Democratic senator could bring the chamber to a halt. House Dems can go to fed agencies being gutted by Musk with cameras in tow. Governors can push back. State AGs can bring lawsuits.

So, folks on here have probably caught a whole bunch of lawyers and law professors (correctly) lashing out at a law professor (Ilan Wurman) for suggesting there's some meaningful "literature" supporting Trump's attack on birthright citizenship that the courts didn't "engage with"

It's worth taking

Democrats should train AI on the communications their most effective messengers (like AOC) have used and then use that AI to help guide messenging for their most visible leaders (like ranking member of the House Oversight Committee).
Democrats dont know how to sell.
Agree with flooding the zone. But you have to flood it in an algorithmic, video clip/soundbites aware manner.

It's not just volume of trumpisms. It's which will be amplified and talked about vs which can be easily countered by blaming the messenger.

Electing Trump in 2024 is the equivalent (in terms of age) of electing JFK (had he lived) in 1996
Three of the five living presidents were born in 1946.

Trump is a month older than Bush, who is a month older than Clinton. 🧵

Dick Blumenthal and Donald Trump both received deferments to avoid serving in Vietnam. Only Dick Blumenthal spent years lying to voters about how he actually had served in Vietnam.
Senator Richard Blumenthal, a Democrat, gushed over Elon Musk Thursday, calling the technocrat billionaire who helped elect Donald Trump “the foremost champion of free speech in the tech industry.”
Why is a Democratic Senator Fawning Over Elon Musk?
