Clearly I’m not the only one thinking it.

And yeah, ICE should be abolished.

Our convicted criminal president and Stephen Miller have thrown billions at creating a violent, rogue, masked secret police force.

It cannot be allowed to continue to exist.

But, this month is Scouting for Food, and Troop and Pack 98 responded knowing just how dire the situations were.

Car after car after car came in, wagons arriving on foot, bag after bag coming out of the cars.

Those scouts filled those shelves. And the back room. And the hallway.

Full quote from Ellis:

"The government would have people believe, instead, that the Chicagoland area is in a vice hold of violence, ransacked by rioters and attacked by agitators. That simply is untrue. And the government's own evidence in this case belies that assertion." @wttw.bsky.social

it gets tiring to keep explaining what it means to be poor to people.

it is not that poor people don’t know that cooking is cheaper:

cooking costs time. it costs pots and pans. it costs a working stove and your utilities on. it costs you’ve been on your feet all day and your babies are tired.

Yeah! Old people represent! We say " I can't believe I have to keep doing this shit." But we know we do, so we do it again. As many times as it takes.
i've been saying for a long time that older folks have been DOMINATING in the many of the activist spaces i've been in in NYC. but this really is mind-blowing.
Maybe it was way more than seven million? "8% of Americans say they participated in a No Kings protest on October 18."

p.s. Older people are really showing up.

The courts had to step in and tell Donald Trump to feed the people. Let that sink in.

He was perfectly fine letting millions of Americans go hungry—in the middle of a shutdown that Republicans created.

Do what the judge said, Donald. Release the funds and stop playing with folks’ livelihoods.

There's money available to feed poor people. The Trump regime has deleted that fact from a government website, but it's still a fact.
Donald Trump deleted this from the government website.

Let's be clear: there's funding available to cover SNAP benefits next month. Trump is stopping SNAP benefits because he wants to. He is forcing mommas and babies to go hungry.
