Yep, no government shutdown has ever affected SNAP before - they do not HAVE to do this. They are choosing to.

Woke up to quite the update on this. I had been in contact with Payment Cloud about getting their service and they waited until now to hit me with the image below. Again, stringing me along instead of being upfront. They had seen my website multiple times before this.

This sounds like an excellent opportunity to remind (or, sadly, first inform) a lot of Americans that the "Victory Gardens" of WWII were promoted in large part because the most productive vegetable farming in CA was done by Japanese Americans who got sent to interment camps, leading to shortages.
Trump’s Sec of Agriculture Brooke Rollins says the solution to high egg prices for Americans is to get some chickens and raise them in your backyard.
