I'm enjoying a lot of the Olympics - so sorry for Jen and Bruce in teh curling- what great people they seem - and won the round robin. But, please if anyone is in the crowd and going to show the national flag at the games, please make sure it's not upside down!

That is a very good point
Trump sued the BBC for editing one of his speeches.

It makes you wonder why he's not suing people for directly, openly stating that he's a rapist and a paedophile.

My tip for the next Reform recruit: Chris Mason.
Reform members "shimmy", "building a viable alternative govt" Lab & Tories "discombobulated" by Reform and Farage. Lab suffering from "anxiety dream bordering on cold panic" undertaking "stymied manoeuvring" Really?
Chris Mason: Both Tories and Labour feel the Reform heebie-jeebies
Both of Westminster's mega brands, Labour and the Conservatives, are feeling discombobulated, the BBC's political editor writes.

ICE uses extrajudicial violence and intimidation for political ends. It's unconstrained by the law, unaccountable to the public. Its crimes are endorsed at the highest levels. What does this tell us? That it's the force of paramilitary thugs all fascist movements & governments use. It is Trump’s SS.

Agreed 👍
I'm always amazed, not only at the new versions @marshfamilysongs.bsky.social manage to put together, but the speed at which they get them out after events occur.
Possibly, very possibly, their best to date, certainly top 3.

Articles like this fail to state the obvious.Trump has dementia. It is worsening. He is decompensating in plain sight. His Executive functions are virtually non existent. The Press, rather than try to rationalise his behaviour should be holding Trump to the same standard as they did with Biden

@mrjamesob.bsky.social People suggesting European teams boycotting the World Cup would hurt the USA are off the mark. A few teams withdrawing from the World Cup is irrelevant when they have World Series in sports where only the USA have entered.

I'm impressed with this chap - Mark Fairhurst. Keeps calm, answers the question and highlights the real issues. Now, will the Govt take the advice given baby him to protect the prison officers, or will they still be chasing Reform votes?
Prison Officers' Association chair Mark Fairhurst tells Jackie Long one of his members has been "unjustly singled out" for the mistaken release of Hadush Kebatu, and the full inquiry will find out who is at fault.

Nothing on the BBC Radio news this morning. Nothing I could find on their website. This is an MP from the party whose lead in the opinion polls normally ensures them wall-to-wall coverage. She spouts racist nonsense for which even she feels obliged to apologise. What on earth are they playing at?
