Spain is going to make up to 600,000 illegal immigrants *legal* if they somehow can prove they were for at least 5 months in the country up to the end of 2025. But Spain doesn't want people from outside the EU buying properties because of a lack of housing.

Jack, as a UK citizen you won't feel it, but for many of us EU citizenship is very real. Not just for benefits like FOM, but most of all the sense that wherever I am in the EU, I am still 'home' with all the warmth and security that implies (and which is a function of the EU, not just of geography).
