I read an article the other day about the number of young men who have developed rapid & severe gambling addictions and it is extremely disturbing. There are 14 year olds in Gamblers Anonymous. We are quickly careening towards a very dangerous destination.
One of my very few pearl clutching beliefs is that the rapid proliferation of sports gambling in a smartphone environment is going to have some very damaging societal knock-on effects.
