There is so much wrong with this, but the INSANE belief that "women only have value/can only take up space if I find them attractive" is the most common way men dehumanize us, and it leads to many of the most evil ills our society suffers.
I got six - no seriously, SIX - different messages today from cishet men saying that although they support me being trans, they would prefer if I stop my daily selfies because they aren't attracted to me and don't want to see my photos, and I am just wondering if the cishet men are ever okay
Let’s GOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

“Thrusting a teenager into the arms of a grieving fanbase and asking him to heal them isn’t fair.”

This post could have been written by me, (except that I’m not nearly as talented as she is). She put into words, beautifully, my exact current feelings on this:
Dallas is still broken
Sports were never meant to be this cruel.

I wish polls were a thing on here already, but alas.

I gotta question:

Which color would you think of FIRST when describing crabs:

Red or Orange?

The cause is community, teaching and social work type jobs spiking after COVID and with the bills passed by Biden.

Now that these damn fools who lie and say they care about crime are in charge, they are cutting those jobs again, so expect this trend to fucking reverse itself in coming years.

Followed by a female president & vp
An all (& diverse) female SCOTUS & all females in Congress & the Senate for however many years the men got 100% on all those seats.

I stg this country would get so much fucking better & safer so quickly.
I think it’s only fair that we get a “Have men ruined society?” op-ed

The injustice of all of it is still incredibly maddening....I'm so happy for his success rn and continue to feel so sad for us mavs fans grieving the loss of what this franchise might have been if the injustice of this covert & unfair trade were never allowed in the first place.
If the Lakers had a conscience at all they would simply give the Mavs another first rounder out of guilt.

I’m more discouraged by Flagg than I hoped to be. He’s just a kid, SO young, & the situation he’s in SUCKS, but his inability to consistently hit any shot outside the paint is discouraging. I thought he’d be better than he is.

I hope he’s really as spongy as they say cause he’s got a ways to go.

The last 10 years has taught us that it is all about the economy & prices at the grocery store & literally NOTHING ELSE. Not even the threat of fascism matters.

You never need to throw marginalized folks under the bus to win. You need to address the swing voters concerns about prices & the economy.
Note to Dems: support for trans rights DID NOT lose you the 2024 election (literally no evidence supports this) and if you can’t uphold basic human rights for every person, don’t run.

Yes, as a person represented in both sides of the Venn diagram, I can confirm that the overlap between sports & politics is collective joy &, unfortunately, sometimes, collective grief.

The collective joy is a huge reason why I love both things so much.
Is this how sports people feel watching Sportsball

This man said, “if you want to come for one of us, you’ll have to go through ALL of us” & that is a winning ass message in the era of the white supremacist fascistic takeover we’re in rn.
“While we cast our ballots alone, we chose hope together,” Zohran Mamdani declared in his victory speech in New York City. Mamdani, speaking of “a new era of leadership,” will be New York City’s next mayor.

On Dems, Debs, and DSA's big night:
Zohran Mamdani will be NYC's next mayor, as Dems win big across the board
“While we cast our ballots alone, we chose hope together,” Mamdani declared in his victory speech. Dems Abigail Spanberger in Virginia and Mikie Sherrill in New Jersey also won.

For a bit I forgot that the current political movement was won with a weak minority and is managed by annoying dorks who nobody likes who have terrible vibes. This video has 1.3 million likes and is a good reminder that better things are possible, even for those of us outside NYC. A good night!

People not paying attention to politics until the 5 alarm fire of fascism has won & actively worked to destroy our democracy brick by brick for 10 straight months leads to this result.

This is absolutely good & also WE TRIED TO TELL YOU GODDAMNIT! IT DIDN’T HAVE TO BE THIS WAY!
Looks like the Dems will pick up 12 seats in the VA House of Delegates, which will go from 51-49 to 63-37 D-R. That's an honestly shocking result.
