Hey #MGMT0180, here is an interesting question coming up during AB municipal elections...as we are experiencing in Winnipeg now, a long freeze on tax rates will catch up to the city's ailing infrastructure and growth, and then large increases are absolutely required!

Hey #MGMT0180 - check this out, a weekly CAO time slot to "answer anything"! Surprised as Monday mornings often bring surprises and need immediate action. Would this work in your RM? Too negative or realistic? Could Council members feel this is encroachment on their turf?
📣Due to scheduling conflicts and March Break, "Ask Andrew Anything" - our drop-in CAO office hours - will be postponed for 3 weeks. Don't worry, though — we'll be back to our regular schedule on March 24!

WHEN: Mondays, 9am - 12 noon, resuming March 24 2025
WHERE: 120 Glenwood Drive

Check this out #MGMT0180 as we look at Council in Unit 3. An older article (Apr 25), speaks to a Reeve resigning on principle. Note how long he had served and the reasons he offers. Could the Code of Conduct have prevented such a drastic action out of the election cycle?

Hey #MGMT0180 classmates, here is a post reminding us of the importance of accessibility when it comes to voting sites! Looks like the municipal election organizers did a better job than their federal counterparts...

Arrived to a 40-minute lineup for early voting at our local community centre. Unlike municipal election a couple weeks ago, Elections Canada has made no accommodation for folks with mobility or other challenges to a long wait. An older couple, one using a walker, is leaving.

Question for Alberta’s UCP government: How costly has the healthcare re-organization been, and what has it achieved?

Reduced wait times?
Increased number of family doctors?
Emptied ERs?
