Residential development is booming at a steady clip from Fishtown to Poplar. Ed Duffy sees this as an opportunity to reestablish a long-gone train station

these comments are always so insane, the NYC subway is one of my favorite places on earth
Duffy on the New York City subway: "It's dangerous. It's dirty ... they don't want you to drive your car. They want you to take a train. If you want me to take a train, make the train safe, make it clean. But if you won't do that, we're gonna pull money."

mannn it sucks so bad that all the neighborhood groups are on Facebook and it doesn’t seem like anything will ever shake that. I would have 0 reason to use it otherwise

I definitively do not want to see anyone hurt, but if you don't have the courage to stand up to what is wrong because the party leader *that you support* might cause you to be physically harmed, you need to get the fuck out

Why wouldn’t the judge dismiss it? Blatant corruption is in vogue now.
From @wildstein.bsky.social on Twitter:
Scoop: a Judge has dismissed indictments against Democratic powerbroker George E. Norcross III and others.

not even an exaggeration
The United States now playing the role that communist satellite states once played in the UN: sponsoring resolutions in its own name but on behalf of Moscow.

Why is Pennsylvania not laser-focused on maxing out housing production? 🤔 Aside from alleviating supply problems, it can help us address our electoral issues, become even more competitive economically and culturally, and so much more.

This is incredible imagery, we need to find a lot more opportunities like this.
Brilliant protest. Yosemite National Park workers hung an upside-down American flag — traditionally a symbol of distress or a national threat — thousands of feet off the ground on the side of El Capitan.

I play Wordle first, in order to feel smart and capable, and then I play Connections to remind me that the universe is a baffling, capricious “fuck you”

He has the absolute worst position on every issue possible, the consistency is actually quite amazing
"Trump also revealed...that he wants to use his power to remove one of the biggest contributing factors to traffic congestion in the first place — bike lanes. 'They should get rid of the bike lanes and the sidewalks in the middle of the street,' he said. 'They’re so bad. They’re dangerous.'" (NYP)

Here's video of Steve Bannon doing a Sieg Heil today at CPAC. It is what it is and it's what Bannon intended. Don't let yourself be gaslit.

the fact that this is sarcasm aside, reading the words ‘US royal family’ made me nauseous
As I noted to Bloomberg: This decision is a disaster for New York City; it will increase pollution and traffic, it will reduce quality of life, and it will make improving the subways all the more difficult. I guess the US royal family doesn't care.

This is still a nuclear-grade bad take. If Murphy wants to control decisions like this so badly, has he considered having a city in his own state that people actually want to go to?
I want to thank President Trump and Secretary Duffy for their efforts to halt the current congestion pricing program.

While I have consistently expressed openness to a form of congestion pricing, the current program lines the MTA’s pockets at the expense of New Jerseyans.
