Political donations enable corporations/rich to buy parties, hand consultancies to legislators.

Normal people are disillusioned, increasingly don't register to vote or vote.

You are not taking my point. England, posing as the U.K. is and has used its domination to extract the wealth of Scotland. It refuses to even countenance zonal pricing which would give Scots (right now it’s minus 4) cheaper energy bills. That is not collaboration that is exploitation.
