Don't take this as an assurance of safety. It's not even really a win. This is confirmation that Adobe cannot be relied upon in the long term. Their decision making is erratic and unpredictable, and they've built their company in such a way that you MUST rely on them as a solid bedrock.
Update: Adobe Animate will continue to be available in the future, with support in "maintenance mode" only (security & bug fixes), there will be no new features.
