The art advice i will always die on, is to never compare your art journey with others, and lower the perfectionism of "how it should look". Experiment, make "scuffed" backgrounds or character concepts, make uneven lines, keep it in a messy sketch phase, use references, play with shapes, etc.

Also finally got to sleep in my own bed for the first time in 3 months… nope, back to the floor for me, alternating heat and ice for this damn injury.

Remembered it was Hourly Comic Day yesterday, and I’ve got notes jotted down… only problem is I woke up yesterday with my shoulder pain flare up. I’m up this morning for the same reason. Back to heat/ice.

Honestly been considering how to incorporate more effective shortcuts to Husk when I am able to resume. Drawing does take the most time, tbh… maybe if I let myself leave my lines looser. 🤔 By the end of Issue 2 I had already reduced my palette, and I really liked it.
Posting this again to remind you you dont have to be an amazing artist to draw comics!
