Maybe we should try the same old scene.

Uneventful is very underrated.

My worst works Xmas do was a meal out at a circular table around which sat ~8 ppl where one had interviewed two of the others for a job and given it to the newest employee that very day.

This was on the returns shelf at the library, so I just thought I'd give it a quick blitz through. More questions than answers, I suspect.

My dad, the former trade unionist and socialist whose house is worth peanuts, ranting at me about the injustice of the mansion tax. You couldn't credit it.

Kind of an Adam Kay thing only for anaesthesiology with added harrowing covid, just to remind us of how brave, hardworking and burned out ICU staff were. A fast, humane read. #booksky

Inimitable indeed. I rarely post a story twice, but this is a rare piece of writing. David Rose doesn't do social media, so I humbly act on his behalf. A true man of letters.

The way my tooth feels today I will not be indulging in the caramelised nut mixture I've asked my husband to hide from me til Christmas. Ouch.

Going to go to an actual yoga class tomorrow. Haven't done this since about 2018. Will be interesting to compare it to my home practice. I didn't much like it before but it'll shake things up a bit.

Got 50 pages into an International Booker and called it quits. I don't have enough years left.

You should be able to tap histrionic political commentators and journalists on the shoulder and they should have to sit out for a week. Give it a rest FFS.

Current dentistry is so much better than years ago. No pain with my root canal phase 1. Generations were put off dental care with that black rubber mask.

I mainly use Goodreads for seeing how many pages a book has so I know which order to read my Borrowbox ebooks in.

Exercised with ease this morning, which was just the pick-me-up I needed after feeling grotty all weekend. Ready to face the dentist now 😊

Youngest's now in Oz where she will spend Christmas and I am so envious. I'd love to have a hot, beach Christmas at some point.
