For the last in our November-long series of pieces on pubs and pub culture, @fred-gs.bsky.social visits The Fat Cat in Norwich, a pub that's close to his heart for many reasons. We hope you enjoy this beautiful salutation of an all-time great.

Cool for Cats — The Fat Cat in Norwich, Norfolk — Pellicle

If by chance you do have some pounds to spare there's no #gift like a book, and there's no book like a surprise #book.
Do consider giving to @booktrust.org.uk and get children (and their parents) reading 🎄📚

According to Fox News, if you are a racist Young Republican you are still a "kid" when you are 34, but if you are an Epstein victim, you are an adult when you're 15.

This from @status.news is all true. But an even wider campaign is to punish and intimidate those who would theaten his *freedom from fact.*

Here we have to learn to group the news media with the research universities, vax confusion created by RFK, Jr., the Bureau of Labor Statistics mess, etc.

GB News hosting Trumplethinskin so he can have a fannywobble about Panorama is the most utterly deranged media crossover of the year and is absolutely peak 2025.

Can I please ask all my followers in the US (a surprising number from Kansas for some reason, which is epic) to pass two messages on for your orange grievance merchant in chief?

First - Leave the BBC out of your lying mouth.

Second - #ReleaseTheEpsteinFiles.

Please and thank you.

When I first heard about Project 2025, I thought it was conspiracy nonsense - too brazen, too cartoonishly evil to be real.

Then Trump called it “severe right”… and started enacting it.

Magnolia stellata. 2nd October 2025. Some sort of fruiting bodies and the leaves are sad, burnt brown. It's a beautiful old shrub, about 2m in every direction, last 2 yrs (since we moved here) has had wonderful spring flowers. But looks SO sad. Comments? 🌱

Dreadful waste of money. Rural Norfolk, UK
🚧 Tory Norfolk County Council at it again: “repairing” potholes on Norwich Rd, Morningthorpe… by tarring the grass verge.

Good news for ants, bad news for drivers. 🐜
