Fresco from the Cubiculum of the Barrel Makers in the Catacombs of Priscilla. The fresco shows a group of men carrying a large barrel towards two more. The burial space likely belonged to a collegium of barrel makers.

The central medallion was heavily restored in the 19th c. and some would argue many of the original details obscured. For example, Jesus is depicted as bearded here, whereas in many other early Christian depictions of the baptism (such as the one in the Arian baptistery) he is shown beardless.

To see this mosaic of the #Baptism of Christ in person is breathtaking. Commissioned in the 5th c. it decorates the dome of the Orthodox Baptistery in #Ravenna. Around the central medallion is a procession of the 12 apostles (Paul being the 12th!)
