A 3rd c. fresco from the catacomb of Praetextatus thought to be the earliest depiction of Jesus healing the woman with the flow of blood (Mk 5:25-34).

We are now accepting applications for the 2025/26 Shohet Scholars Grants. Awards range from $2,000-$30,000. Projects need not focus on the catacombs but should be within the sphere of the Mediterranean world from the late Hellenistic to the late Roman periods. Deadline Jan 15.
