Though I will say, this is the second consecutive trip to @moviemadness.org where someone had checked out the two classic screwball comedies I was looking for (Easy Living and Ball of Fire). WHO ARE YOU, FELLOW SCREWBALL FAN?!?

Are you the person who rented the blu-ray of Palm Beach Story from @moviemadness.org the same weekend I was planning on grabbing it? I feel like we should be friends.

A reminder to the news media: “conflicting accounts” is what you say BEFORE the incontrovertible video evidence appears. After that, your job is to ask why one side is lying, not to repeat the lie and pretend no one knows the truth.

The new OpenAI creative writing bot's "short story" has the phrase "democracy of ghosts". It's the sort of phrase that would make me stop and admire it, if I were reading a human author - which, it turns out, I was, because it's from Nabokov's 1957 novel "Pnin".
