New research finds that COVID viruses continue to be dangerous after they’re destroyed by your immune system. Some spike proteins survive, turning into shrapnel, continuing to target our immune cells.

Many things these days make me think of SPEED, when they’re about to make the ridiculous sharp turn, and Keanu tells everybody to get over to one side to help them not tip over. It’s just everybody together, applying what force they can to change the physics of the situation.

I get tired of saying it, but I’ll say it again: the nature of oppression in America is that they workshop it first on Black, Latino, Asian & Native people.

But it is always, in the end, coming for everyone.
The arrests of journalists Don Lemon and Georgia Fort are a test for every MSM member with a platform. If you are not voicing your outrage at this blatant violation of the First Amendment, you are utterly discredited as a journalist.

Considering the opinion of conservatives in government decisions should be made illegal. You don’t get to participate until you are willing to live in shared reality.
Basic, simple, health precautions based on data and science - overreach

Secret police, military invasion, summary executions, ethnic cleansing, and concentration camps - not overreach
California now requires corn masa flour to contain folic acid to reduce birth defects among Latinos. Public health officials have lauded these efforts, but some conservatives say it’s another form of government overreach.

Listening to @missedinhistory.bsky.social balloon riots. We never learn that hyping up spectacles often goes terribly wrong, do we? Also watched PBS show on disco where they blew up disco records at a baseball game. Examples are endless.

It hurts my head too but keeping in mind that this administration has a terrible grasp of economics and is basically a bunch of overly emotional men settling grudges squares things a little.
The amount of “this is clearly about oil” posting across all platforms as story after story comes out where the oil industry is saying that the oil isn’t worth extracting is making me feel a little insane

@nytimes.com if you make cooking ACTUALLY 75% off, I will buy it. Idk who is in charge but that person failed both math and proofreading.
January 3, 2026 at 1:07 PM
NYT sent me an email to save 75% on cooking but it’s only 64%. AND the fine print is written for a 50% discount. Wtf, NYT! ($18/year instead of $50, 25% of $50 is $12.50)
January 2, 2026 at 4:23 PM
NYT Cooking is having a sale. Normally $50/year. They say it’s 75% off but the charge is $18 for the year. 75% off $50 is $12.50. Math. NYT. Evidently you’re also not good at that.

Asked the dogs, 1 gnawing a bone wrapped in the bedding sheet from the crate & stopped when the bone was unwrapped, if they would be good while I went into the basement to get beef. And realized that meant I would also flip the laundry. Asked if I could do both. They looked back dubiously.
