Planetary Series

Collage on birch panel, framed with mahogany, 7.25” square.

Collecting and cutting old map collages grew into an obsession for me over the past few months, in the best possible way. It’s been an unexpected project that sprung out of nowhere, and a joy to work on. More to come!

Poster for the Slaight Family Polaris Heritage Prize (2017). I’m honoured to be invited to this year’s Polaris Prize along with other illustrators who worked on nominated bands. Canada is brimming with talented musicians and I’m sure the show will be fantastic! September 16 at Massey Hall.

Colour study of warblers for a recent painting. I love these birds so much! I’m lucky to have seen about half in the wild. Do you have a favourite?

Thanks to ‪PetaPixel‬ for spreading the word about AI photo theft. I know it is like a drop in the ocean and unlikely to change much, but it can at least encourage people to be more critical when viewing photos online.
