there are variants of the story where the person recognizing Raven-Krabat is his mother, but I think the angle of Krabat as full orphan beggar does make more sense for the Miller to pick as victim

Ich hab 4 Wigs übrig, die mir Leute geschenkt haben, als ich mein Coming Out als Trans hatte.
