A ship doesn't have to be canon to be good or worth exploring. It's really strange this recent trend of canon or bust. If a dynamic grips you, you find it interesting, or it makes you pause, and you can tweak it to make it work for you and your art, go nuts. That's the joy of transformative fandom!

My one conspiracy theory is that sperm whales totally have agriculture down below/have their own farms of giant squid, which is why they rarely show up and we can't get footage because it's too deep (convenient to any conspiracy xD).
If Parrot Fish can algae farm, sperm whales can giant squid farm!
