It appears that the Japanese PlayStation Club demo discs had partially-animated manga stories where a Jumping Flash MuuMuu hung out with your man from Motor Toon GP. The plot thickens.

There has been a noticeable reticence in left and liberal circles to voice full-throated support for pornography, even as it's become increasingly clear what the open end goals of the censorship movement are
In a lot of ways other leftists chose this path folks. They shrugged and didn’t care when Patreon banned a ton of hypnosis and TF creators, or when YouTube started their ASMR crackdown. Now it’s coming for queer porn creators, more and more. Who will stand up?

Reading that TV Tropes is now doing even shadier things with ads/payment is deeply frustrating because sometimes the site's a useful way to get a vibe on specific or obscure information that may not be readily accessible in other contexts just by dint of how long it's been around. (1/5)

I recently got an All Japan Puyo Association bulletin from March 1997, a few months after the release of Sun in arcades. In it the chairman of the association mentions that the latest Japanese national tournament had 20000 entrants.

For reference Evo 2025 had 8541 registered players.

I saw an infographic a couple years ago about how to remove source identifiers from links and why it's important, but I can't find it again and too many people I know are sending me links with them so here's an infographic straight from the oven

With Windows 10 now out of service today, a quick reminder:

If you need Windows but don't want to update, you can switch to Windows LTSC. It's an official, stripped down Win 10/11 without forced ai, apps, or bloatware, and will continue to be updated.

Link: massgrave.dev/windows_ltsc...
LTSC is windows 10 naked edition. Is has no apps, no store, no game bar or Xbox, not even OneDrive. ALL of that can be installed *if you want*. It's for businesses, but you can go set up until something like 2028 through massgrave.dev/windows_ltsc...

I'm still tinkering with it myself.

The artwork of Soul Blader aka Soul Blazer in the west used for advertising in magazines and also on the OST insert. Usual upscale/clean/retouch process applied. Still a bit cropped on the bottom. No clue on the artist, any info let me know!

"Shirow was a big fan of the Jumping Flash series we created, and he brought the plans for a GitS game directly to SCE".

there's this belief I've seen online that Nintendo's developers are insulated from and unfamiliar with the greater industry at large.

while I don't doubt that this may be the case with the suits, I honestly find that hard to believe with the actual devs, so seeing stuff like this is vindicating
The Super Mario 64 source code lists names for Mario's footstep sounds. The list starts off normal but becomes poetic with names like "Footsteps in the Fallen Leaves" and "More Than Anyone Else in the World". It turns out the names are actually taken from a 1994 dating simulator.
