Spike in phosphate level to 0.97 at our FOUW site 029 on Eign/Yazor brook. Brook has taken a beating - 2.5 weeks of no water flow. We are in Hereford city & usually notimmediately affected by agricultural run off from rain which pushes up levels. @savethewye.bsky.social @herefordshirewt.bsky.social

Shocking to hear David Lammy refuse to answer the question about whether the US attack on Iran is legal or not

This cowardice in the face of US tyranny will not serve our country or the world well

We need a government that will defend the international legal order

At our Yazor brook testing site -Naturally formed croy just upstream from site forced brook flow into narrow channel, speeding it up, scouring & having an effect down to our site where we now have a faster, rippling flow-less silt & sludge on substrate & aquatic plants. @friendsriverwye.bsky.social

Today we we were excited to find this stonefly larva while doing a riverfly survey in the Yazor Brook in the middle of Hereford. First time we have seen one in 6 years of surveys. They thrive in clean, fast-flowing, upland streams and rivers, and are sensitive to pollution. Is our brook improving?
