NEW: Epstein survivors release the most powerful PSA I have ever seen.

Make this go viral so every member of the House of Representatives sees it.

I just revisited Tony Blair's 'forces of conservativism' conference speech in 1999 - two years into office. It's such a clear headed narration that balances people's continued frustration and what the government had delivered.

When your nan can't watch Cash in the Attic. When Traitors has gone. When GB News replaces Newsnight. When Antiques Roadshow and Strictly Come Dancing disappear from the box - all so that Donald Trump can sit on some fuck off gold throne and mock Britain - d'ya think people will be happier?

The BBC is ours. It's ours to love. Ours to criticise. Ours to shout at when we feel in the mood.

And if Farage thinks that the way to win favour with voters is to stand around cheering as Trump takes down the BBC for $1 billion of personal enrichment then he's a bigger fool than anyone thought.

BBC buggered up big time but Trump has had a taste of his own medicine as he’s one of the biggest false news spreaders & liars.

So go right ahead & sue them Trump, just like you do with American media, more of your lies will get exposed in the process!

Maybe the BBC can learn a thing or two about fake news from Trump | John Crace
The broadcaster didn’t make a very good job of its untruth – possibly because it hasn’t had as much practice

Let's stop pretending that the billionaire media, endlessly attacking the BBC, has the slightest interest in balance, impartiality and accuracy. They won't be happy until the BBC is more rightwing than Vlad the Impaler. And then it still won't be enough.

Dear GOD if you want to save money in the asylum system

1. LET ASYLUM SEEKERS WORK

2. FAST TRACK STATUS FOR EVERYONE FROM CLEARLY UNDAFE COUNTRIES like Sudan, Syria, etc

3. Run an asylum accommodation system that is NOT FOR PROFIT #r4today

Politicians have chosen to be in the public spotlight.

We choose intense scrutiny and everyone is entitled to an opinion. And that's right.

But how do these nasty digs about physical appearance serve anyone?

It's no wonder so many people - particularly women - are put off ever getting involved.

A 15 year old boy with autism went missing earlier this week

He was selling fruit with his family in Springbranch when he disappeared

They filed a missing person’s report & begged the public to help find him

Turns out he was in a Houston ICE detention facility

They kidnapped a disabled child!

This is a president who has sent the military into peaceful cities run by political opponents, and who authorises the destruction of what are pretty much random boats in the Caribbean to make a point about drug gangs. This would not normally be Peace Prize behaviour.

Just heard Chris Philp on BBC’s Today programme explaining why the Tories want to leave the ECHR. He claimed ECHR isn’t mentioned in Belfast Agreement - which is simply untrue. The UK govt agreed to incorporate it into NI law & give direct access to the courts (Strand 3). Why no BBC fact-check?

Hilarious response in the @telegraphnews.bsky.social to this video, riddled with inaccuracies (whoever said anything about death squads?!)

I’ve submitted a complaint about falsehoods & requested an op-Ed for right of reply - which was, of course, not offered to me in advance of publication🤷‍♀️

The idea of replacing Starmer is just utter nonsense. He's just won an election with a huge majority. It would look foolhardy, sel-obssessed, chaotic, insane: classic Tory bollocks.

With every day that goes by, Starmer's silence allows Farage and the far-right to seize the narrative and fan the flames. This void is incredibly dangerous. Starmer needs to speak up, to condemn the rhetoric and to defend the conventions he has spent his entire career defending to this point.
I really don't think it should be tenable for Labour government ministers to have still remained mute about such a visible, vocal rise of racist abuse in our country by this rally on 13th September, being held by Tommy Robinson, with the proactive support of Elon Musk, the radicalised X owner
