A teacher in Idaho has been told to remove posters reading "Everyone is welcome here" - specifically because it features different skin tones. As I wrote last week, this is a global political movement that has explicitly set the goal of eradicating the very concept of equality.
West Ada teacher stands firm after she’s told to remove ‘Everyone is welcome here’ signs
Sarah Inama said she was told by administrators that her signs “don’t allow people to express differing opinions.”

If it’s visually interesting, fun, and meaningful… it couldn’t possibly be practical, skillful or serious. Right?
When I was in high school, the guidance counselor used to speak really scornfully about easy electives like "underwater basket weaving" but I have contemplated this for 35 years, and I still think underwater basket weaving sounds really hard.

This is quite literally historic news: "Many sex workers in Belgium will now be treated like any other worker in the country, with access to employment contracts, maternity leave, health benefits, pensions and more." www.cbc.ca/radio/asitha...

Pelvic Health Fact #2: Pain with sex isn’t normal! Regardless of the type of sexual activity, pain doesn’t need to happen (unless you’re into that 😉) There are a lot of reasons why a sexual activity might be uncomfortable, and we can change it! 1/4

Fun pelvic health fact #1: This is getting to be more common knowledge. BUT Did you know that the vagina is self cleaning, and does not need to be cleaned? Rinsing with water is great, but soap (even pH balanced body washes!) need to stay outside the vaginal opening.

Hi y’all! So, I’m a pelvic physical therapist and I’d love to see more pelvic health education EVERYWHERE. I’m gonna just post some facts over the next couple days. There are so many things I didn’t know until I specialized in this field and I feel like we’d all do better if we knew these things!

Remembering the time I made my wife a custom illustrated journal with writing prompts…. When we were uh…”just friends”

Fwiw I’ve come full circle with relationship anarchy, so I now know it wasn’t just repressed romance. I’d totally do this for my friends!!, (and tbh I’d kiss them goodnight too)

More of these vibes in healthcare innovation… asap
This is Jonas Salk (1914 - 1995) who decided not to patent his 1955 #polio #vaccine so that it would be affordable for millions of people who couldn't afford it. He lost out on an estimated $7billion. In an interview with Edward R. Murrow, Salk said: "There is no patent. Could you patent the sun?"

Y’all this book. Feeling happy tears. I really loved “The Remedy” as well but am struck by the aching hopefulness of this follow up. As a queer healthcare provider I am constantly on the lookout for more content like this. If you have recs PLEASE share! #hopecore #queerjoy #queerhealthcare
