Chattel slavery was so bad that when we tell you how bad it in fact was most of y'all shut down and tell us we're making it up and pass laws against us ever telling you how bad it was again because your brains literally cannot handle how bad it in fact was.
"How bad slavery was" is worse. Much worse. Much worse than you think, much worse than you're taught, much worse than museums depict. Worse.

When it comes to fascism, you push the boundaries a bit, wait for the public to react, and if they settle down, you push the boundaries some more. Bit by bit, this is how you change what's "normal". You'll sleep walk right into it if you were never taught the signs.

When you carelessly cut government workers as some type of misguided political statement you soon come to realize that those government workers do important and literally life saving work
"The lack of responsiveness happened because the agency had fired hundreds of contractors at call centers, according to a person briefed on the matter who spoke on the condition of anonymity in order to discuss internal matters."

Just reminding y'all of the Congressionally mandated report (condition on education) that ED did not put up by the deadline of June 1st AND when a reporter reached out asking why they missed the date, they threw up old tables/figures and links to other websites
I asked Secretary McMahon if she had done ANY analysis about how the Department of Education would be able to perform its basic obligations under the law before firing HALF of its staff.

NO analysis was done. None.

These people want to take a CHAINSAW to public education with a BLINDFOLD on.
