Occasional critic, human disaster, naïve progressive. Words: Soundsphere Magazine, Little White Lies, Stereogum, and my own place. (They/them.)
Very good chance this skeet will come back to bite me further down the line - and combat's already utter ass - but I've spent today playing the remaster of OG Tomb Raider with tank controls and, honestly, complaints about tank controls just sound like a skill issue to me. It still plays fine!

Instead of reading the Epstein files and freaking yourself out you could read my lates for @lwlies.com on how sexual assault cinema is going beyond graphic depictions to detail the lives of those impacted by sexual violence.

Two decades on from the beginning of the MeToo movement, more and more filmmakers are choosing to explore the lasting impact of sexual violence rather…

Emerald Fennell's Wuthering Heights may be a sacreligious piece of dogshit - I'll see it eventually - but I must begrudgingly hand it to her for giving Charli XCX the bag and excuse to revisit her True Romance sound for a little while.

You’re not crazy. The anti-trans movement is not organic; it was funded by pedophilic billionaires like Jeffrey Epstein who backed a network of conservatives to accuse the same people they were sexually abusing of being the real danger. @madycast.com exposes the truth in our in-depth report.

Finally releasing in UK cinemas tomorrow, The Day the Earth Blew Up is the first Looney Tunes film to (mostly) capture the spirit of the original shorts, with a little 90s direct-to-video energy on-top (compliment). My review for @moviemarker.bsky.social. www.moviemarker.co.uk/the-day-the-...

One of the wickedest things Wes Streeting has ever done is push politically convenient falsehoods about suicide rates amongst young trans people. We have new data from the National Child Mortality Database that exposes the truth he tried to cover up.

A freedom of information request by Good Law Project has found that deaths by suicide of trans young people under 18 surged following the withdrawal of gender-affirming healthcare

This season of Fallout just about lands the valuable parts of the plane, but somebody really needs to beat into the writers/showrunners that they've gotta rein in the scale. I count a minimum of 7 different plotlines, all with entirely different casts who barely interact, the structure's a mess.

One of those rare news posts where each subsequent word in it is better than the last. So glad this is finally gonna happen!
Pedro Pascal is now officially confirmed to star in Todd Haynes' subversive 1930s-set gay romance ‘DE NOCHE’.

He'll play a hard-boiled corrupt detective opposite Danny Ramirez as his younger lover, with production starting next month after Joaquin Phoenix's exit.
