Imagine that inclusive green space for that actually benefits the community.
A golf course next to the Fraser River in northeast Metro Vancouver will be transformed into a public park with sport and playing fields.

It is part of the City of Maple Ridge's strategy to build a new major aquatic & community centre. #vanpoli #vanre

This was my overwhelming take away from my visit to Japan a few months back as well. What make places remarkable is how people lived in them and shape them.
One of my biggest takeaways from living in Tokyo was that the city is incredible in spite of the fact that 95% of the architecture is unremarkable.

It makes the years-long design review process for a single apartment building in the U.S. seem all the more frivolous.
Tokyo is a city that makes the argument that architecture is irrelevant.

What matters more is urbanism:

The street network

The density

The freedom of uses

The clustering around rail

Gotta give credit to Calgary. Portion of green line underconstruction is mostly on dedicated ROW with good preemption where it does have grade crossings. Unfunded north will be the nasty delayed part

I really need to keep a strategic microwave popcorn supply at the office for days like this
Whelp! The BC Conservative party's Twitter account says Rustad has been removed as leader because he is "professionally incapacitated"

Unclear whether that's actually in line with the party constitution

Per the release, Trevor Halford selected to serve as interim leader #bcpoli

Possibly the first protest of its kind at City Hall this morning. A diaper change-in protesting budget cuts and fee increases to amenities for new parents, and many others. @womentcities.bsky.social

Raava does not split. Aang basically did that at the end of season 2 and was revived by the spirit water with no second avatar. Whether a Vaatu Avatar will be in the mix for the new series is a theory I'm fully behind

I wish I wasn't out of town for a family commitment. Will there be any resources to do a self guided version after the fact?

Conservatives may unsurprisingly be lying out of their ass but you don't need to do the same. There is nothing wrong with Hedy living in her big Westside home, but it sure isn't downtown.
