I'm heartbroken to share the news of Alice Wong's passing. We have lost a titan. I envision her now hanging out with the other greats we've lost, like Judith Heumann, Ed Roberts, and Brad Lomax. Alice is but another disabled ancestor joining a powerful lineage.

America’s children deserve better than this.

This place we all sit,
Staring at the ground.
This place where we wake up
Hoping for change
Not realizing that change is just sitting there, staring at the ground,
Waiting to exist.

Did you know...Deploying a single National Guard member costs taxpayers approximately $530 per day.

That could feed ~176 people one meal, or ~58 people with three meals per day, and the full $1.1 million could instead deliver ~366,000 meals or feed 122,000 people for a full day.

Leading global experts just confirmed what we’ve long known: Gaza is in famine. At least half a million Palestinians are facing starvation, acute malnutrition and death. And it’s likely to spread.

The U.S. government is not a bystander to this genocide. We can end it today.
Gaza City officially in famine, says global hunger monitor
Gaza City and surrounding areas are officially suffering from famine, and it will likely spread, a global hunger monitor determined on Friday, an assessment that will escalate pressure on Israel to allow more aid into the Palestinian enclave.

What's happened since?

A record number of women have been prosecuted. Pregnancy loss is now considered extremely suspicious, even when it has nothing to do with abortion.
